Sorry America

Recently I went to see the comedy play "3afwan America" in the theatre. Good play I must say..I really enjoyed it. I think a lot of common guys will (like to) identify with the main character.
A simple guy, far from rich, but a proud brave man. زكرت و قبضاي
And I suspect a lot of the young men I saw there will remember, and some times even repeat some of the a bit political dialog in the end. There were some quite true and intelligent things said there..But there was also a lot of things I didn't agree with.
When you want to talk about how some big powerful, and developed, countries can have plans and will to exploit and powerfully dominant poor weaker ones..Well, if you believe in that, you should talk and show that.
Opening a restaurant chain, like McDonald or any other big foreign chain, is more than a bad example, it's no example of that at all. That damages the whole idea instead of being an example. And I will just say one word : Syriatel. Something local here did that dirty job to the economy already, thank you very much! . No foreign foodchain will even come close..But of course, no one will dare to speak about that company, understandably...A man called Riad Seif already tried that once. And few will even know. ( I don't know how good McDonald would be doing here anyway, in the land of endless restaurants). Many other real stuff to talk about, the war on Egypt when they had their Suez channel, look at the many brutal dictators who are nothing but supported , as long as they are what we are to them : obeying. Look at some oil rich places. Many say that control over Iraq's oil means great influence, for the US, on whole Europe( but, not only).
Yes, think about that very developed part of the world with all it's cars and industry missing the 30 or 20 % they usually could get from Iraq..And they said that also when commenting the indications or leaked secret info saying that the war was wanted and even planned for, much much earlier. Well, there is plenty of things to mention. But please..I know it is becoming the country of endless restaurants but please forget about that just for a second!
But maybe of course there were good reasons to take a lame example, this was just a comedy after all..And to be fair, he did mention more serious things in the end.

Also he ( the main character) said, to the American girl who thought it was discriminating, the veil women used, that even she herself should want it..Cause if men couldn't look at other women (much less to see when they are veiled), it would be nicer to know that they only look at their beloved wives, or something like that..
Too much to be said here but let's just say I don't agree.
But to be fair, he did also say "you are free to choose, have it or not". I hope this will be remembered and repeated as well.

After the play I heard a woman saying "Good..Finally we will have some good places to go to and become more like the rest of the world and people". After hearing that some new western coffee or restaurant will open soon, that exists in the west already and has now even reached us..

Once again..Forget about the food for once! We will not "become" as wellbeing as the west just if we eat like them or dress like them..More and stronger industry, let's stop buying all the simple and advanced machines in all fields from others while hardly producing enough basic products for ourselves, and people breaking the wall of fear to start ending the blood sucking corruption..Things like that..Might be more helpful to develop and prevent being weaker and easier to exploit.

Anyway, it was a really good play. I am afraid it might have sounded like "hate US" here..It's not..As was also explained clearly in the monologe..

But if any angry red or green neck or what ever pop up here and yell and shout..Guess I will just have to apologize, "Sorry America"..
Needless to say, there are nice and very different people and individuals everywhere...

Lol..They r right!

Don't get me wrong..I love this place inspite of everything, inspite all the things I want changed.
It's not hard to see how this place can be cruel..on humans, on men, women, children, nature..
And we know how much less cruel, how sensitive and very civilized other places can be..Places where animals are better off than many children in the third world can ever dream about..But realley..Even compared to the third world..we should'nt be the worse, this is starting to get embarrising!
